Thanks for joining us at CosXPo 2019!
Our second event was even better than we had hoped – and that's all thanks to you! Check out some of our favourite moments below.
What Went Down
If you missed out on the event, here are some of the great things that happened over the two days.
From special effects makeup to making beautiful flower crowns, the Cosplay Lab hands-on workshops were a huge success. Our 'try out' stations were buzzing with activity from people experimenting with foam, airbrushing and much more.
The second year of the CosXPo Championships were a blast - with so many awesome costumes and routines. Congratulations to Danny Hoang who took home the trophy as the Monkey King, photo by FreshCrewStudios!
Workshops & Panels
Leather-working, puppet making, wig styling, fitness and so much more! Our mentors took to the stages for workshops and panels on all things cosplay and photography, giving people a chance to ask questions and learn new techniques.
We had two new sets in our photography area: the battleground and the Japanese classroom. We've seen some amazing photos already and loved seeing people get into character with the props! Don't forget to use the hashtag #CosXPo2019 so we can see yours.
The vendor hall was a great place to stop by and grab a souvenir to take away from the event - from unique artwork to adorable accessories.
Exploring the Grounds
The weather was on our side and the cherry blossoms were out! Many cosplayers and photographers took the opportunity to head outside and make the most of the beautiful location and photoshoot opportunities.
2019 Cosplay Senpais
We flew in a host of skilled individuals from around Europe, who helped us to judge our Championships and shared some of their best kept secrets!
Expert at creating detailed armour pieces, Erza came all the way from Germany to share her tips and tricks in a live thermpolastic demo.
Norwegian cosplayer Santatory, known for creating beautiful historical sewing pieces, took us back to basics on how to start your first cosplay project.
From fur to pine cones! German cosplayer Mowky taught us to embrace the wild side by sourcing natural materials and learning to make Horns, Ears and Scales.
UK wig master Nomes gave us not one but two awesome workshops - from bringing and styling your own wig to creating intricate hairlines.
We were blown away by your creativity!
Whether cosplayers and photographers were making use of our custom sets, braving the weather, or roaming the halls, we saw some serious skills, check out our gallery for some highlights.
A huge thank you to our sponsors. Without you CosXPo 2019 would not have been such a success!
